Family Portal Privacy Policy

App: Family Portal · Operator: Project 84 · Last updated: September 28, 2026

This section describes how Project 84 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Family Portal and its related services at project84.net/family (the “Service”). Family Portal provides private family accounts, location sharing, messaging, file sharing, Screen Time controls, and remote assistance for authorized family devices.

Information we collect and process

Account and family information: We process the username, optional email address, password credential stored as a secure hash, family name, invite code, Parent or Child role, family membership, and connected-device information needed to create and operate a family account.

Location information: When location sharing is enabled, the Service processes a device’s latitude and longitude, location label or address when available, update time, and related device status such as battery level. If you grant Always Location access, the app may provide location updates while it is in the background. Current and recent location information may be stored so authorized members of the same family account can view the shared map and request an updated location.

Messages and files: The Service stores family-group messages, direct messages, message metadata, and files you choose to upload or share. Messages and files are made available only to authenticated members of the applicable family account or to the specific family members selected by the sender. Do not upload or send information you do not want those recipients to receive.

Remote-assistance information: When remote assistance is used, we process device identifiers and names, online status, requested sharing type (screen, camera, or microphone), session identifiers and tokens, session status and timestamps, the approving parent, and security/audit records. During an active session, screen images, camera video, microphone audio, and control commands may be transmitted in real time between the authorized family devices. Project 84 does not activate these features for advertising or unrelated monitoring.

Screen Time selections: On a supported iPhone, Apple’s Family Controls framework manages the apps, categories, and websites selected for restriction. Family Portal uses the authorization and selection information required to apply or remove restrictions on that device. Apple may represent selected applications using privacy-preserving identifiers rather than revealing a child’s full app-usage history to us.

Device, notification, and operational information: We may process push-notification tokens, device or helper identifiers, operating-system and connection status, IP address, request timestamps, and security events to deliver notifications, keep devices connected, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the Service.

How we use information

We use this information only to create and secure family accounts; display family members and device status; provide family location sharing; deliver messages and files; apply Screen Time choices; establish, authenticate, monitor, and end remote-assistance sessions; send requested service notifications; provide support; prevent fraud or unauthorized access; maintain the Service; and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information, location information, messages, files, camera content, microphone audio, or screen content, and we do not use them for targeted advertising.

Permissions and sensitive features

Permission or featurePurpose
Location / Always LocationShare the device’s current or background location with authenticated members of the same family account.
CameraTransmit video only when camera sharing is requested for an authorized remote-assistance session and the device permits it.
MicrophoneTransmit audio only when microphone sharing is requested for an authorized remote-assistance session and the device permits it.
Screen sharing / recordingTransmit the device screen during an authorized remote-assistance session. iPhone does not support system-wide remote control.
Apple Family ControlsAllow a user to select apps, categories, and websites and apply or remove Screen Time restrictions on the authorized iPhone.
NotificationsDeliver family messages, invitations, location requests, and remote-assistance alerts.

Apple system dialogs control access to location, camera, microphone, screen sharing, notifications, and Family Controls. You may deny or revoke these permissions in device Settings. The related feature will not work without its required permission.

Remote-assistance safeguards

Remote assistance is limited to authenticated members of the same family account. Parent-only remote functions require the family’s parent PIN to unlock access. A connected device receives a request and reports whether screen, camera, or microphone sharing is active, and an active session can be stopped. Compatible Mac and Windows computers may accept remote-control commands during an authorized session; iPhone does not permit system-wide remote control. Short-lived session credentials are used to connect devices, and session events may be logged for security and troubleshooting.

Storage, service providers, and sharing

Family Portal uses service providers such as Cloudflare for hosting, encrypted network transport, storage, real-time connections, and security, and Apple and Google for app distribution and optional push-notification delivery. These providers may process information on our behalf to operate the Service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the Service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate notice and safeguards. We do not share family information with data brokers or advertisers.

Retention, deletion, and security

We retain account, family, message, file, location, device, and support information while needed to provide the Service and for reasonable security, troubleshooting, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes. Some short-lived session and connection records expire automatically. Users can remove shared files where the Service provides that control, leave or manage a family as permitted by their role, and permanently delete their account from Settings. An account-deletion request removes the account and associated personal data we control, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or records belonging to other family members. You may also contact admin@project84.net or review our Data Deletion Instructions.

We use safeguards including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords and parent PINs, authenticated family sessions, role-based access, short-lived remote-session tokens, access controls, and audit records. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children and family accounts

Family Portal is designed for household use and may include Child accounts created or managed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for inviting family members, assigning roles, configuring permissions, and supervising a child’s use of location sharing, messaging, file sharing, Screen Time, and remote assistance. If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate parental authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

Your choices and policy changes

You can turn off location sharing, revoke system permissions, stop an active remote session, remove Screen Time restrictions, manage family roles where authorized, sign out, or delete your account. We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, communicated in the app.

App: Let's Go to Church (com.project84.cel) · Operator: Project 84 · Last updated: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Project 84 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Let’s Go to Church mobile application and related backend services at project84.net/cel and proyekto84.com/cel (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Account and profile: Name / display name, email address, username (if chosen), password (stored as a secure hash by our auth provider), and profile metadata such as leadership status, linked place of worship, and church team membership.

Location: With your permission, the app uses your device’s location while the app is in use to show nearby houses of worship and events on the map. We do not sell location data or use it for advertising.

Content you submit: Place-of-worship addition requests, church events you create as a linked leader, Live Study session metadata, church team invites and membership records, and crisis / help volunteer applications and talk requests (status, timestamps, and session identifiers needed to connect you with a volunteer).

Device and notifications: If you enable notifications, we may store a push notification token and related preferences (for example, Reading of the Day reminders).

Technical / operational data: Our hosting and proxy infrastructure may process standard technical data such as IP address, request timestamps, and approximate region (for security, abuse prevention, and reliability). We do not use this to build advertising profiles.

Public directory data: The Service includes a directory of houses of worship and publicly listed events. That directory is not your personal account data; it may come from public sources, organizer submissions, and administrative review.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account; provide map, Bible, Live Study, leadership, invites, help/support, and related features; show nearby venues and events; send optional notifications you enable; review place-of-worship requests; moderate abuse; maintain and improve the Service; and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Permissions the app may request

PermissionPurpose
Location (when in use)Find nearby houses of worship and events

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to operate the Service (authentication and database hosting, cloud edge / proxy services, map providers, live video/audio via Jitsi Meet in-app, scripture text APIs, and app stores / push platforms). Camera/microphone media for Live Study and volunteer talk is handled by the video provider’s infrastructure while you are in a session. We do not control third-party privacy practices beyond our configuration of their services.

Live Study, help, and communications

Live Study and volunteer talk features may transmit audio/video while you are connected. Session titles, room IDs, host status, and similar metadata may be stored so others can find or join active sessions. Do not share sensitive personal information in open study rooms. Crisis hotline links may connect you to third-party organizations not operated by Project 84.

Children’s privacy

Let’s Go to Church is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact admin@project84.net if you believe a child under 13 has created an account.

Data retention, deletion, and security

We retain account and service data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may log out or delete your account in Settings (permanent). Deleting your account removes your authentication identity and associated personal profile data we control; it does not automatically remove public directory content that is not personal account data. We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and access controls.

This Privacy Policy describes how Project 84 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information when you use the Help Me Vets mobile application and related backend services at proyekto84.com/vts (the “Service”). The Service helps veterans, service members, and their families find VA facilities, Vet Centers, veteran service organizations (VSOs), and related support resources on a map.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Account and profile: Email address, name or display name, username (if chosen), password (stored as a secure hash by our auth provider—we cannot read your plain password), and profile metadata such as facility staff or leader status and linked provider or organization.

Location (geolocation): With your permission, the app uses your device’s location while the app is in use to show nearby VA facilities, Vet Centers, VSOs, and related providers on the map. We use location only to run map searches and distance sorting. We do not sell location data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Content you submit: Missing-facility or VSO requests (name, address, phone, contact details), events you create as linked staff, peer support session metadata (room identifiers, host status, titles), crisis or help volunteer applications and talk request status, timestamps, and session identifiers needed to connect you with a volunteer or resource.

Device and notifications: If you enable notifications, we may store a push notification token and related preferences on our systems or with your platform’s push service.

Technical and operational data: Our hosting and proxy infrastructure may process IP address, request timestamps, user agent, and approximate region for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and reliability. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.

Public directory data: The Service includes a directory of VA facilities, Vet Centers, benefits offices, VSOs (such as American Legion and VFW posts), and similar locations. This directory is not your personal account data. It is compiled from public government and open-data sources (including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Facilities API), community submissions, and administrative review. We do not import or store VA patient health records, disability ratings, claims data, or other protected health information (PHI) from VA systems.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account; provide map, Resources, Help, Staff, Peers, and Settings features; show nearby providers; send optional notifications you enable; review facility requests; moderate abuse; maintain and improve the Service; and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information for profit or other monetary transactions. We do not share your personal information with marketers, data brokers, or partners for their independent marketing.

Permissions the app may request

Location (when in use)Find nearby VA and veteran support locations
CameraPeer support video sessions (when you choose to use them)
MicrophonePeer support audio sessions (when you choose to use them)
NotificationsOptional alerts you enable

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the related permission.

Third-party services

We use service providers only to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf and are contractually or technically required to use it only for providing services to us:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and geospatial provider directory storage
  • Cloudflare — edge proxy, security, and API routing at proyekto84.com/vts
  • Map providers — device map SDKs on your platform
  • Live video/audio providers (such as Jitsi Meet) — peer support sessions while you are connected
  • Apple and Google — app distribution and push notification delivery when enabled
  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Facilities API) — public facility location and services metadata imported server-side; we do not send your personal data to VA through this API

Third parties and contractors may not use or disclose your information for their own marketing or unrelated purposes without your consent. Crisis hotlines and external websites linked from the app are operated by third parties; their privacy practices apply when you leave our app.

Peers, help features, and medical disclaimer

Peer support and volunteer talk features may transmit audio or video while you are connected. Session metadata may be stored so others can find active sessions. These features are not emergency services, licensed therapy, medical care, or VA clinical services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 (U.S.) or your local emergency number, or use the Veterans Crisis Line (988, then press 1).

Children’s privacy

Help Me Vets is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact admin@project84.net if you believe a child under 13 has created an account.

Data retention

We retain account and service data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. If your account is dormant (no sign-in) for 24 months, we may email the address on file and then delete or anonymize personal account data, except where retention is required by law or for documented security needs. Public directory listings (VA facilities, VSO posts, and similar) are not personal account data and may remain after account deletion.

Data deletion and your choices

You may log out at any time, disable permissions in device settings, and delete your account in Settings → Delete account (permanent). You may also request deletion by email at admin@project84.net. See our Data Deletion Instructions.

When you request deletion, we will permanently delete 100% of your personal account data we control—including profile, credentials, linked staff data, invites, and personal submissions—within 45 days, unless a longer period is required by law. Deleting your account does not remove public directory content that is not personal account data.

Security and data breaches

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and server-side storage of API keys (not embedded in the mobile app). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If we learn of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and provide instructions for further actions you may take, consistent with applicable law.

Ownership changes

If Project 84 experiences a transfer of ownership, merger, or sale of its business, we will notify you before your information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy. You will have the option to delete your account and personal data before the transfer, or to close your account after notice if you do not agree with the new policy.

International users and policy changes

The Service may be hosted or processed in the United States. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date will change when we do. We will notify users of material changes through the app, by email to the address on file, or by posting an updated policy at this URL. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the revised policy.
